Taking Out Line Guide Services

First trout on a fly rod!

Through our hands on, personal approach to instruction and guiding, we walk our clients through the basics of fly fishing. We focus on equipment selection, basic casting, fly selection, knot tying, rod rigging, and on the water skills that all fly fishers must have. We are pleased to offer very affordable rates to our clients.

A typical day will be a balance of instruction and actual fishing, implementing and reinforcing what was learned streamside. Clients can choose between a guided float tube trip hunting largemouth bass and other warm water species or a guided river wading trip to countless Massachusetts trout streams. We are proud to use a complete line of Redington, Sage, and Rio fly fishing products for our clients.

Our rates are:

  • Full day 1 angler: $250
  • Half day 1 angler: $150
  • After work bass trip (approx. 2 hours) 1 angler: $75 (Seasonal availabilty)
  • Additional angler: $50

Learn to fly fish mini camp

An interesting trip is to join us for one of our learn to fly fish mini camps. Our mini camps include two days of guided fly fishing with instruction.

  • Day one is focused on learning the basic fly fishing cast and the basic techniques required to be a competent fly fisher. Depending on the season this day may be focused on bass fishing from a float tube or angling for trout on one of our great Massachusetts trout streams.
  • Day two will be spent on one of our excellent Massachusetts trout streams, honing fly fishing skills chasing trout. This day will be a wade trip and will focus on nymphing and dry fly techniques for trout. As with all of our trips we’ll look at proper rigging techniques and choices.
  • Our mini camps can be split up and done over the course of several weeks or they can be on back to back days (schedule permitting).

All trips include use of:

  • Redington fly rods
